Meet and give feedback on each of the two developers proposing to build affordable housing at the Ashby BART station’s East Parking Lot.Each team will present on their credentials, experience, and past projects, and will answer questions from the audience. Attendees can share feedback on the developers’ qualifications using a survey during the event. A developer will be selected in the coming months. That team would later present designs for public feedback.

3. Convert the stables into two or three new soccer fields. The Tom Bates fields are heavily used, and a larger complex would attract tournaments, which also boost revenues. These fields would share parking with the grandstand concerts.

2. Preserve the grandstand and put a stage in front of it, on the track in front of the stands. Use it for concerts, with tax revenues for Albany. Expand the parking on the west edge of the stables, so the top of the hill can be repurposed to better use. Charge for parking during events.

I don't have to go the extra mile since I get cheaper fuel in my driveway, charging my electric car. I pay around 8¢ per mile in fuel costs, compared to 20¢ of gasoline in a car that gets 30 mpg (at $6 per gallon).

For example: the plan is to bring the path down on Essex Street, where the freeway exits. That's sensible for cyclists but not for pedestrians, like tourists on the Embarcadero. Better (or in addition) would be to put an elevator on the base structure, to provide quick access to the waterfront.
