A couple of years ago I had this dream where I was dating this other guy in an idyllic winter scenery, it was legit nice You know this is a dream cause thanks to climate change snow is getting increasingly rare where I live, and this place is too homophobic for a date in public between two men 😭

fyi! i had a long dream last night about making personal decisions to minimize/halt the use of any convenience or device that might contribute to atmospheric co2—& the brutally painful futility of getting anyone else to do the same living in a country that is actively promoting climate change is 💔

Dreamed last night I was playing a video game about climate change where you play anthropomorphic animals trying to adapt or migrate to new habitats, animated in 1980s Disney style. And now I'm terribly sad it doesn't exist!

Ongoing drought, a warm dry winter plus a late hard freeze killed fruit, nuts, grasses and insects (we usually have a very large and annoying emergence of moths in May, which is a HUGE food source for bears - they can eat 40,000 a day in the summer) which left the bears without options for food. +

As they are entering hyperphagia before fall, they are going outside their normal range, breaking into old ladies houses, elementary schools and peoples cars. This is very alarming and everyone who I have talked to about it COMPLETELY brushes it off, like yeah it’s been a tough year for everyone.

Sorry, but we’re in the part of the climate change disaster where megafauna is involved at this level and you don’t think it’s a big deal?!? Not that there’s anything we can really DO at this point, but omg a little situational awareness seems pretty fucking appropriate at this time. Right? Right!?

Sorry in advance: I had a scary dream and now I’m up late having very uncomfortable existential climate-based terror musings. Feel free to ignore. Bear sightings and encounters number over 7000 this year in Colorado, occuring in cities and inside of peoples houses. Climate change is the culprit +

It was very hot outside. There was nothing but desert and sand dunes as far as the eye could see. I knew in the dream that the entire planet had turned to desert. I woke up in panic. Years later when I first heard Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush," the song made so much sense.

When I was a kid growing up in very lush and green Iowa in the early 60s, long before climate change was a thing, I had a vivid dream I've never forgotten. (Back then I occasionally had prophetic dreams.) I looked out the bedroom window, usually with a view of the river. But the sun was blazing.
