Claire @claire.chapien.net · 4hOh then yes totally, you can even run up a test server and play sandbox mode 020
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 9hYou'd also have to rely on the traitor game mode, because game modes like nukies definitely need a whole server of people to stand a chance 120
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 9hI'd say on a small station you still need around 20 players. You might be able to pull off the Reach station (the small space shuttle station) with 15 120

Claire @claire.chapien.net · 10hPrivate servers exist but the default game mode is definitely not built around only a small amount of players. 120
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 10hYes, I agree on that, I didn't mean my post to be serious, just a joke about common things I hear windows people say about linux 110
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 05/10/2026for a long time (and maybe still) you could just open an admin terminal, hit the "okay" button, then deltree C:\Windows\System32\ 000
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 05/10/2026oh yeah and nevermind the idea that you're opening an entire terminal session as administrator (root) every time you need to do shit like that, as opposed to, you know, temporary permission escalation much secure people joke about rm -rf /* but at least that will require sudo access 100
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 05/10/2026I know how the registry works, I was just making a comment on Windows users saying Linux is complicated, while the same power users will turn around and talk about regedits as if that isn't just as complicated in a different way :P 100
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 05/10/2026It's a few files that together make up the registry database. As opposed to Linux, which generally does not have single databases to manage settings of multiple apps, with each one instead having their own config files that are generally plaintext (you cannot read registry in a text editor) 100

Claire @claire.chapien.net · 05/10/2026the fact you have to do some updating from the terminal scares people, but once you get over that the update process for linux is generally way simpler than windows update. It goes wrong less often than windows update too, but when it does go wrong it is admitedly harder to fix. 020

Claire @claire.chapien.net · 04/10/2026i will say it is extremely funny when windows users say linux is too complicated and then casually talk about editing the registry we don't got a registry man, it's all files! 451

It's that the developers of these products are irresponsible dolts, who have absolutely no intention of changing how they behave. Stop making excuses, use existing laws and make them responsible for their own actions. 1024398

Claire @claire.chapien.net · 04/10/2026east prussia didn't get taken away from Germany until after WW2, which was done as a punishment because that's how war works (whether it is just or not is immaterial) the tiny part of Prussia Germany did lose was the Polish corridor, because Poland needed a sea border for true economic independence 001

Claire @claire.chapien.net · 29/09/2026I do agree shaming individuals isn't the solution but I'm still going to think less of people who rely on AI 000
Claire @claire.chapien.net · 29/09/2026Also I guarantee you most people doing AI therapy can afford real therapy, and were instead simply too lazy to research it and thus took a shortcut. No one is actually using AI to save money. They're using it to save time, and that is something I do not respect whatsoever. 100
