Three years of ongoing genocide should shame every government that has refused to use its power to stop it. Every further delay deepens Australia’s complicity. Turn solidarity into action. Demand sanctions Join the Global Day for Gaza - 11 October. #Genocide
THREE YEARS OF GENOCIDE.
THREE YEARS OF AUSTRALIAN COMPLICITY. We remember the tens of thousands of Palestinians murdered, those still buried beneath Gaza's rubble, and Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli
prisons. We stand with Palestinians who remain steadfast: journalists reporting the truth, health workers tending to the wounded, students continuing their education
and communities protecting their land. And we stand with the millions who continue to mobilise despite censorship and attacks on our
movement.
Image: Middle East Media
APANTHE GENOCIDE HAS NOT STOPPED. More than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed in
Gaza. Thousands remain missing beneath the rubble. Israel continues to attack Palestinians and restrict aid and medical supplies essential to survival. Ninety-four per cent of Gaza's population urgently needs shelter
and basic household assistance. Across the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces and settlers are driving Palestinians from their ancestral lands through violence, home demolitions and illegal
settlement expansion.
Israel's destruction of Palestinian life continues.

APANSANCTION ISRAEL NOW.
END AUSTRALIA'S COMPLICITY. LEADERS Legen
+ NOT CELODE Three years of ongoing genocide should shame every
government that has refused to use its power to stop it. APAN demands that the Albanese Government impose sanctions, end the two-way military trade, ban settlement trade, divest public money from companies enabling Israel's crimes and pass the Red Lines
legislation. Our pressure is working. We will continue to organise in our workplaces, schools, streets and communities
until Palestine is free, from the river to the sea.

Anthropic is aiming for a $2 trillion IPO after making $4.6 billion of revenue in 2025, which an analyst nicely frames as an “unprecedented test of investor gullibility.”
As Anthropic
barrels toward a potential $2 trillion market cap on the Nasdaq, one research firm is valuing the artificial intelligence company at a mere $150 billion and says Wall Street is about to face an “unprecedented test of investor gullibility.”

In a report on Tuesday, independent financial research provider New Constructs called Anthropic’s upcoming offering the “most ridiculous IPO of 2026.”

To reach its desired valuation, the firm estimates Anthropic would need to record double the trailing year of profit for Nvidia, the world’s most valuable tech company. Nvidia’s net income over the past four quarters topped $190 billion. Meanwhile, Anthropic’s revenue in 2025 was $4.6 billion as the company racked up a net loss of $42 billion, according to Reuters, which cited a leaked copy of the company’s prospectus.

This analysis of the far right in Brasil is spot on - and to me it also describes the politics of ressentiment in the UK and the US as well. It is just that in these two countries, it is targeted at migrants. www.equator.org/articles/bra...
Ever since Brexit and Trump, when the political weather changed so dramatically, the left has responded with two narratives: we either paint the far right as a revolt of the elites without a real popular base, or as a revolt of the left-behind, of a working-class betrayed by liberal elitism.

Neither of these narratives persuades me. Rather, I believe the contemporary far right is a cross-class phenomenon. One way to understand it is as a movement that brings together an underclass that has given up waiting on the promises of modernisation – formal work, accountable institutions, real equality before the law – and an elite who no longer even pretends those promises are on offer.

Between them lies the hardest core of true believers – not the largest group statistically, but the most passionate – which I call, borrowing a phrase from Orwell, the “lower-upper-middle class”. These are people who fall between two stools: they have a good standard of living but lack the assets or social capital of the true elite. They are not only haunted by the fear of downward social mobility, but also threatened by any minor upward mobility achieved by those below them, as during the Pink Tide in Latin America, when the poor became less poor – began attending university, travelling internationally and so forth. This generated a feeling of resentment that was easily instrumentalised.
