When Collins was spiraling about Ossoff asking him about the nazis in his household, he went back to "They're gonna raise your taxes" and "They want to control your lives", which I thought were hoary past the point of political archeology, even.

Later, he claimed Mamdani never commented about the recent stabbing of an NYPD detective. Mamdani talked about the stabbing several times, including the below statement where the mayor notes he visited the injured officer:
Earlier today, an off-duty NYPD detective was stabbed several times in the Bronx during what preliminary information indicates was an attempted robbery.

I visited the detective and his family at Jacobi Hospital with Police Commissioner Tisch.

He is thankfully in stable condition, and I am hoping for his quick and complete recovery. I am confident that the NYPD will identify and apprehend the suspects and that the people responsible will be held to account.

Back, oh, maybe 20 years ago, there was a basement cafeteria under the Arizona State Capitol that looked very 1970s. Not too many congresscritters ate there, but a few used the booths to talk and schmooze. I saw Michael Crow there a few times, and he always seemed embarrassed when I looked his way.

John Picacio’s response to Must Read Magazine’s request for his waiver of all Moral Rights and Copyright of his commissioned art for an ASIMOV’S assignment. Short version — Picacio says a resounding NOPE.

Researchers argue incorrect binding of Voynich manuscript radically changes ideas about its drawings and indecipherable text

A guy helped me replace a part on a Sheaffer Sentinel with a Triumph nib, and thus repair it. He's an electrical engineer in Brazil who *fabricates parts* based on the original USPTO documents.

I am a Sheaffer nerd, but mostly do late 40s- early 50s and have been missing out on, and overlooking Imperials. This is the absolute perfect model for OP's request. I can't believe the hay Sheaffer's modern incarnation makes about their inlaid revival when NOS vintage examples abound.

The trick is to undercook the pasta more than you'd think, drop it in the sauce, and use the pasta water to regulate sauce consistency. The pasta takes on the flavor of the sauce over the last few minutes of cooking and the pasta water evaporates out.

I see a lot of people talk about "The Government" and "The State" like it's some weird cabal instead of people doing a job. I was a state employee 16 years, and every so often someone would ask "What do I owe you?" for research. That's my gig! I'm on the clock! Your taxes paid me!
