"Senate Adjournment Shows Mark Warner Lied to Avoid Debates

McLean, VA – Three October debates proposed between US Senator Mark Warner and Republican Bert Mizusawa were accepted by Mizusawa in addition to a September one. Mark Warner said the Senate schedule did not permit his participation in debates.

We now know that was a lie.

The US Senate adjourned September 30th until November, leaving Warner's calendar completely free for the month of October. The Senate calendar has shown that for months, but now that it is official, the media should press Warner to debate.

"We have an entire month remaining in the campaign, so we expect Mark Warner to debate and ask all organizations that cancelled their debates to reconsider now that we know Warner's excuse was made up," said Mizusawa. "We are ready."

The AARP planned a debate on October 7th, and the League of Women Voters scheduled one in October as well.

The University of Lynchburg was seeking a date in late October that Warner would accept. Now that the Senate will not meet again until after the election, will Warner still say he's "too busy."

"The press must find out why Warner won't debate since his previous excuses don't meet the honesty test," added Mizusawa."

The other problem with RCV, closely related to the first, is that many people believe it does two things that it doesn't: eliminate the spoiler effect an ensure the winner has a majority if the votes cast. RCV guarantees neither, it just creates the appearance that it does.

The biggest problem with RCV is the lack of transparency in the process. While everyone understands "whoever gets the most votes wins," almost no voter is familiar with the algorithm that selects the winner in RCV. Every should understand how a winner is picked in an election.

I'm not following this. Why don't the other candidates just set up their own Victory funds with DPVA? A Victory fund just helps the entities get around contribution limits - something we need to use more in the future due to the recent SCOTUS decision. The dude in the Video hasn't a CLUE.

The problem is it's difficult to respond to drones, they don't have the technology. Russia's is trying to demonstrate that they have the ability to strike them if they wish to deter them from ratcheting up aid to Ukraine. It is a dangerous game of escalation, but the Europeans shouldn't be detered.
