It's funny, when about 10 years ago people were going real heavy on how racist country music is, and it's pretty much synonymous with racism. I grew up with Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson etc. And like, Merle Haggard was considered an outlier for being conservative.

porn is so deeply misogynistic. i just watched a video with dozens of performers going at it, and they literally hadn’t bothered to hire a single woman.

If you're an X-Men or Alpha Flight lover and care about canon or characterization AT ALL, maybe spare yourself the stress of getting the Wolverine game. It felt like the devs were like 'which are the least interesting characters can we use, and the few interesting ones, let's make them shit'.

80 hours of embroidery! This aerial landscape is directly inspired by Dartmoor and I'd say I have another 30-ish hours to go? I'm now starting to fill in the fields for the sheep, the tor area will be done last as I'm still deciding whether I want a slope or not 😅 I hope you like it! #art

Why have they made the villains all so loveable? Sabretooth is like Bear Daddy and I am dreading the moment where he and Wolverine inevitably become at odds, especially if Logan teams up with psychopath Professor X.

110

Oli A. White @childdog.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I don't really know what I think of the game so far, two bosses in, but the Wolverine game's characterization of Sabretooth as grumpy den dad with a secret heart of gold is 1000% the best portrayal of Sabretooth we've ever had. So much more enjoyable than brutal serial killer Sabretooth.

030

Oli A. White @childdog.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

The relationship between Wolverine and Sabretooth in this game is like that of the relationship between Calvin and Hobbes in Bill Watterson's beloved comic strips.

Wolverine is the most videogame-ass videogame I've played in a while. BEAT CHALLENGE ROOM TO UNLOCK WOLVERINE'S MEMORIES AND CALM HIS PTSD. Will do, Mr. Sinister, who is somehow nice. Will do.

I'm begging you to read the book and the comics before dismissing the Hellraiser game as contrary to Clive Barker's vision. The comics are like the 'main' Hellraiser canon and are pretty much an action combat thing. A game is a perfect addition imo.

I can't believe my working day has been usurped by things relating to Josef Mengele AGAIN, in an entirely unrelated incident. You'd think that in 2026 this would be a one-off anomaly, but apparently Der Todesengine keeps on running where I'm concerned.

I'm supposed to be asexual but I got so frickin' invested in the romance in Heads Will Roll by @joshwinning.bsky.social - absolutely adored the novel, and the audiobook narration. Definitely in the top 5 slasher novels I've read (and I've read, y'know, A LOT being a horror editor and writer).

So I've said this before, but: The reason we ask for content warnings on submissions is NOT because we want the content to be toned down. Quite the opposite in fact. It's literally just a tiny guide to help assign the right editor to it. You don't need to tone your work down or sanitize it. PLEASE.
