The inimitable Sarah Millican @sarahmillican.bsky.social started #JoinIn long ago (on that other social media platform we don't mention anymore) and it has spread to Bluesky. After years of dedication, Sarah passed the baton to the rest of us to keep this mutual Xmas support going. Thank you, Sarah!

Could Katie Lam identify the London schools where "more than three-quarters of children don’t speak English to a serviceable school standard". Well done to @davehillonlondon.bsky.social for giving Lam + CPS the chance to substantiate this claim at the Tory fringe www.onlondon.co.uk/dave-hill-ka...

Yes, that must be very hard. Tom has never been mentally unwell or had a neurodivergent diagnosis but when he was physically seriously unwell we really didn’t cope with me needing to look after him and me needing looking after at the same time. It got very tricky

Charlotte Walker @charlrwalker.bsky.social · 31/10/2025
Correct. Going north-south is nearly impossible. The best I can do is a very slow bus from Carmarthen to Aberystwyth, but I’d have to take the train to Carmarthen first. Once at Aberystwyth you can travel onwards quite easily

Its pointless encouraging people to drive less when public transport is so infrequent and unreliable

Plus every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the moment there are scheduled engineering works so rail replacement buses. I strenuously avoid going in on a Friday. I so miss TfL!

He drives. Less stressful. The trains here are just awful, I sort of dread going to meetings in person because there are so many delays and cancellations. I’ve put in 5 compensation claims this month and I only took 7 trips

The UK’s failure to provide universal social care, despite the immense value of unpaid care, reflects a deep political neglect and lack of recognition for carers' needs and rights.
