There are Nazis in Kamloops, wearing their coward masks and waving their traitor flags and marching around in their little incel pyjama uniforms as if they aren't even embarrassing.

I think if the BC NDP just came out and said "For most of you, the most important thing we're doing is keeping the BC Conservative clown car out of office, and that's what we're doing in this election" it would probably do wonders for their numbers.

Not a good look: arresting seniors calling on Mark Carney to not walk back our climate obligations. In my last 2 years as MP I ran a gauntlet of threat, swarming and harassment everyday from conspiracy ragers. House security and Ottawa police just watched. Seems instructions have been issued.

This isn't a metaphor. Just a story about a roach. COMIC ◆ www.smbc-comics.com/comic/roach-2 PATREON ◆ www.patreon.com/ZachWeinersm... STORE ◆ smbc-store.myshopify.com
4-panel SMBC comic update. The first panel shows a cartoon little roach happily saying "oh man! The stupid human put food in here. fool!" The next panel shows the roach walking away from a poison trap as he says "I’m gonna give it to everyone!" The third panel shows a human at his computer with a similar expression to that of the cartoon roach. The man says "this stupid company made a controversial ad. How embarrassing for them!" The man then walks away from the computer desk, at an angle reminiscent to the panel where the roach walks away from the poison trap. The man says "better share with all my friends and family so everyone knows which ad not to look at."

As always, @tressiemcphd.bsky.social ’s analysis of the “AIs gone rogue” bullshit is spot on. “Why do the powerful leaders of A.I. want us to panic? Because panic sells the idea that A.I. is ungovernable.” They show their unseriousness when “[n]one of them are enthusiastic about accountability."

The gas tax holiday can’t outpace global oil greed
Ironically, gasoline and diesel prices in Canada today are higher, even with the tax break, than on April 19, before it came into effect. It seems that the government can’t outrun the petroleum market...

Eby has a golden leadership opportunity. He could go out and tell BC that a storm comes, we will show who we are: Do we pull together, strengthen our house, and take care of our neighbours, or do we tear the house apart so we don't share the roof with someone different - then call a snap election.

Moneris, the Canadian system used to process 5 billion of transactions annually for 325,000 points of sale, is being sold by the owners (RBC and BMO) to a US private equity firm. I don't think this protects Canadian digital sovereignty. I signed a petition for Ottawa to intervene, and you can too.
