In Nepal, residents and community organizations fuel WCK's work. Our partners at Nepal Scouts are visiting our kitchen at Chandi Basic School, which has been repurposed as a community center after the recent flooding. There, they cooked, served meals, and connected with families. #ChefsForNepal

II just watched the final start of Justin Verlander's glorious career. So grateful he spent one season in San Francisco so we could love him as our own, if only for a little while. Next stop: Cooperstown. Tigers walked it off!

I love watching the moon rise through my big front window as the moon rises on Oracle Park and the sky above the sea turns lavender. Tonight will be the very last Kruk & Kuip Friday night game. Life will go on but Fridays will never be the same.

By request, here’s an agave update from Sedona. Zoom in to spot the bird. Have a good day.
On the left are two tall century plants. Behind them and to the right is the redrock ridge of Wilson Mountain. There is a bird perched on the right agave.

I always get distracted by the geology along shorelines like this. The water has worn the sandstone into hollows, curves, and strange little pockets, while the forest has claimed pretty much everything above the tide line. #pnw #photography #beach #landscape #seascape #landscapephotography
A rocky Pacific Northwest shoreline curves around a small, forested cove beneath a heavy gray sky. Weathered sandstone in the foreground has been sculpted into smooth hollows and rounded edges, while dark evergreens crowd the point beyond the beach. Gentle waves ripple toward shore, with low, hazy islands stretching across the distant water.
