Don't self-deprecate while discussing your art. This isn't a "Silly little video," or a "quick, messy sketch." It's a beautiful work of art. You infused a piece of your soul, your limited time on this beautiful planet into a CREATION! It's not bad, it's not little, and it doesn't need justified.

Before & After: I don’t think people realize the extent to which parked cars degrade public space.

Street full of parked cars in Bordeaux France, Google photo from 2008.

Same location in Bordeaux photo taken by me in 2023.

The only feature I'm missing from the old place is bookmarks. I'd love to be able to save posts to reply later, or save pics of Ada Wong or some interesting discussions or post ideas.

One lesson I've taken from this industry is to be wary of creators who are only excited about themselves and their own work. I want you to love what you make! But what other writers set your imagination on fire? Who else do you celebrate? Who do you show up for?

Wait, wait, wait... so Ubisoft Montréal, 15 days before releasing the first Assassin's Creed, released an open-world Naruto game? Exclusive to the Xbox 360? And you can freestyle hand seals with the analog sticks? WTF

Unpopular motivation hack for drawing: Start drawing immediately, even if it feels impossible. After 15 minutes, your brain will recognize the difficult task and create dopamine to help you keep going. Agonizing endlessly before the drawing doesn't help your creative process.

💜To whoever needs this: On difficult days where your mental health is waning, remind yourself that your success rate of surviving them is still 100%. If all you did this week was hold yourself together - I'm proud of you. That alone takes tremendous strength. Thank you for still being here🫂
