Anyone else notice an uptick in people posting absolute gibberish like it makes sense? Wrong words and wildly off spelling but you can *maybe* guess at what they were trying to say. It has legitimately made me wonder if my brain isn’t working correctly at times, but no its just a mess of letters

The AI, that is trained on human written things, to make what they write as human as possible, isn’t good at differentiating AI writing from human… shocking… Sarcasm aside, what on earth could the detector even be looking for that would make it make sense as a functional piece of tech?

The short answer is that the coastline on the West of the US is much more vertical so this isn’t a slow disappearance of the sand so much as a cliffside collapse which isn’t as easy to arrest. Basically a pile of sand wouldn’t fix it even if they did bring it in

My state costume celebrates one of Indiana's most iconic creations-Garfield, created by fellow Hoosier Jim Davis.
Born in Marion and raised in Fairmount, Davis turned an orange cat with a big personality into a character recognized and loved around the world.
But this costume represents more than a famous Hoosier.
The hand-painted comic panels on my skirt share messages inspired by my initiative, Captivating Confidence:
"Our differences are what make us beautiful."
"If we don't have love, we have nothing."
"Outer beauty attracts, but inner beauty captivates."
To me, true confidence is found in embracing what makes each of us different and recognizing that our greatest beauty comes from within. I am so excited to bring a little Hoosier humor, creativity and confidence to the Miss Teen USA stage tonight!

A couple phone updates ago it had gotten so bad I had to turn it off because while I am full of typos the corrections had gone from plausible to absolute nonsense and occasionally “corrected” things to be a common incorrect spelling which really pushed me over the edge to disable it.

As for the asexual erasure, that is certainly a thing but knowing my very queer friends’ media consumption habits I’d never assume media choices/preferences are reflective of lived experiences or desires so I don’t think it had entered my thought process. But maybe thats a different conversation.

There is no absence of sex in conservative media but its depiction is different. Often power and control compared to shared intimacy. I think we often see it being used the same way a fight scene or sfx might be used “look at this shiny thing over here” a poor substitute for actual story telling.

Yeah, the thing is I think most sex scenes in popular media are going to lean unnecessary and exploitative but pointing that out tends to trigger puritan aguments that get anti-lgbtq real fast. It is just also really hard to compare sex in say Game of Thrones to Heated Rivalry

Depends on the movie and the scene. I know that maybe comes off as dismissive but this is one if those things you really need to break down film by film. Some of it is narrative, some of it is eye candy, and some of it is exploitative, I’d guess most of it is some combination of the three.
