Working on something ambitious yet awesome for a night sky + nature art show! First layer complete—blocking in colors on the saguaro 🌵 and Arizona sunset
16x20” painting on easel. A blooming saguaro is in the foreground with mountains, hills, and a vibrant sky at sunset. There are 9 horizontal rectangles that were taped off, so they are the blue under painting color. The rectangles start at the top of the piece and get larger approaching the bottom

If @science.org is covering it, I guess I should share something here- we have for the first time definitively detected radio emission from a planet around another star! 🔭🧪🎢 What does this mean? Details in thread! (But TL;DR- still not aliens) 🧵 www.sciencenews.org/article/exop...

New Yorkers should know whether the apartment they’re looking at is real. That’s why we’re working to require apartment listings to clearly disclose when images and videos have been generated by AI. Finding a home in New York is hard enough without artificially generating more problems.

12x12” print of my cat’s paw nebula painting Infographic with the reference image I made. The visible light is greyscale. The rectangles in color are infrared. The text says “I wanted this painting to capture the essence of telescope image processing and how we study the universe across the electromagnetic spectrum. I chose greyscale for the lower resolution visible light, which balances nicely with the colorful higher resolution infrared rectangles from JWST.”
