Trump sent troops from the National Guard to Chicago days ago, and they have unleashed havoc on the city. Troops have thrown gas canisters at protesters, deployed tear gas on streets w/ no warning, and raided apartments in the middle of the night, zip-tying children & separating them from families.

To say America today is verging on Nazism T feels like scaremongering. Yes, white nationalism lives in the White House. Yes, President Donald Trump leans authoritarian. Yes, the alt-right says many ugly things. But for all the economic pains of many Americans, there is no Great Depression gnawing away at democracy's foundations.
