The hidden danger w/corpo AI use is that even “modest” or controlled adoption can poison a system. The C-suite will push a new tool that they proclaim cuts the work in half, using it as an excuse to either double workloads or fire staff (never to lighten a workload). The tool, ofc, does not do this.

AI is not going to HAL the human race and that's not why they're pushing for regulation. It's likely either that they want to inhibit competitive growth in smaller companies or they are trying to give themselves more runway to find an escape hatch/scapegoat for the bubble bursting.
