As someone pointed out, yes, they delisted the original. This is now the only Shogun 2 that people can buy on Steam. Which feels like it moves beyond bad judgment into actual hostility to the previous work and the people who made it.

the challenge the industry faces because people are now saying, essentially: "I can use it to replace YOU, but you must never use it to replace ME." And when a group of people are saying that to each other, it's a joke that isn't funny.

i do unironically think people that are cosmopolitan need sorta paradoxically be more chauvinist about it tbh. places and people that are cosmopolitan in outlook are better than places that are provincially minded. the kind of performative handwringing about not being 'authentic' is bad and weak.

Russian propagandists stated that with the diesel deal, Trump has set a precedent for bypassing sanctions. Russia could learn a thing or two from this, they say. Now other countries, like South Korea, might follow suit: "A precedent has been set for the blatant violation of their own sanctions.

it really sucks that the next French presidential election is shaping up to be dipshit communist vs dipshit fascist
French Presidential Candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon:
They tell us, "We must reassure the markets." Reassure the markets? What are their names? Where do they live? Let me go and reassure them!
What market? What are you talking about? There is no market. There are hedge funds, financial companies and insurance companies.

The Constitution allows it. South Korea has proven it works. If you want to make impeachment viable—and so much else is pointless if you don't—then it can be done by a simple majority adopting a simple rules change: vote on the verdict by secret ballot.

A Democratic Senate Should Adopt Secret Impeachment Ballots on a Priority Basis
Such a change, requiring no constitutional amendment, would free senators to vote their judgment instead of their fears

Saying the war "never would have happened" if Donald Trump was president is not only a lie, it's possible that by signaling that the US was weak on Ukraine--by demonstrating that a president could illicitly halt aid, and that our government wouldn't actually hold him accountable--he helped cause it.

A lot of Americans on here need to understand that a shrug is not good enough as a response to "the US is an unreliable partner," even if that were true. The implication of this statement is a price the US cannot afford: the rise of pro-China factions in Taiwan, South Korea, and the Philippines.

This is Nazi rhetoric, full stop. It's not only a call to instigate a race war in the United States, but it's reminiscent of historic European justifications used to incite pogroms against Jews. People who say things like this are incredibly dangerous, as there is nothing they won't eventually do.
