Excerpt from ‘Levinstruck’ by Velnica:

First there was the chase.

A sentry had spotted his little form sneaking out of Everkeep's pipework, all skinny and grey and fast as a sewer rat. Arkose took off in a panic, dodging boulders left and right in the levin-scarred plain. He didn't care where he was heading, he just needed to be away.

Second came the lightning.

It was blinding, and he would never forget how it seared his entire vision. It was less staring at a bright billboard and more drowning in a vat of pure light, accented by the purple and yellow sparks that drifted slowly downwards like spent fireworks from the disintegrating sentry who was still clinging onto his wrist.

Third came the pain.

Arkose screamed, his little voice barely audible in the thundering crack that followed. He was thrown backwards and landed on the dirt with enough force to knock all the burning air out of his lungs.

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.
