This season of Game Changer felt very middle-of-the-pack. But I think it suffered more than anything from how good the last two were. Like you can't keep topping yourself forever. You need to bring the stakes back down so you can raise them again. The finale especially felt cobbled together.

I don't know how I missed until this week that Witcher 3 is getting a second free remaster along with a combat and movement overhaul, but dang, if you bought that game in 2015 you've really gotten your money's worth.

If you're jumping into WoW Forever and want to use addons, this is my periodic reminder that Curse is spyware, has been for years since Overwolf bought it, and I'm still aghast at how many people are still using it. You should switch to WoWUp if you want automatic updates.

My review so far of Warhammer 3: Lords of the End Times is that I'm really enjoying all the new changes but I have no idea how the endgame scenarios play out because I keep getting my ass kicked in the first 50 turns.

See, the RTS games are the Bible. Warcraft 2 is the Old Testament. Warcraft 3 is the New Testament. Warcraft 1 is the pre-monotheistic Canaanite religion. Vanilla WoW is the Council of Chalcedon. I don't agree with all of it, but it's mostly fine. Everything after that is some flavor of heresy.

Forever's implementation of Marksman Hunter is a bit bizarre. It's like, "You still use mana because Hunters in Classic used mana and rah rah no changes or something. You're special though and we're going to let you *basically* have Focus mechanics from modern back, but with a talent point tax"

I didn't play Classic so this is hitting me for the first time but, damn, do you remember when WoW used to be an RPG? Like a real RPG? We bled out so slowly from all the streamlining over 22 years that it's easy to forget what we lost.

The lighting in WoW Forever really makes it look qualitatively better than the modern game. I'm sure some of this will be implemented over there too at some point, but for now I can honestly say it's the prettier game overall.

I still think my favorite WoW: Forever quote from Blizzcon was, "Here's our catch-up mechanic: Play the game!" If I had to name five design decisions that (overly dramatic YouTube thumbnail) RUINED modern, treating leveling as an inconvenience you should be able to knock out in a few days is one.
