Yesterday NSW approved NSW’s largest ever coal expansion to HVO’s coal mine in the Hunter. The next step is federal approval. I know AI is the hot topic of the moment but we *know* coal and gas are driving the climate crisis. Let’s not lose sight of that and the decisions being made in its shadow.

Every time I return to Paris, I notice they've done more to reclaim streets from drivers and cars, including removing on-street parking, protecting cyclists from drivers, and prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists in shared spaces. Other cities can learn a lot from Paris.

Breaking News! Code FUBAR!!! Yesterday's Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature anomaly (preliminary) was a record 3.047°C above the 1991-2020 baseline, beating the previous record of 3.034°C set on November 19, 2015. It will take about 2 weeks to verify. Stay tuned!

It's soo many eels. But historically, eels comprised between 25% - 50% of fish biomass in the downstream sections of European rivers. There were just everywhere. European eels have suffered something like a 90% population crash in the last 50 years or so. It's a huge problem
