A screen capture of the Los Angeles Herald (October 13, 1911) shows the front page above the fold. The central b/w photo is a group of cheering suffragists at Choral Hall (in the now-gone Philharmonic Auditorium) just after the Herald staffer brought news that “suffrage had surely won.” Initial reports on the evening of October 10th didn’t look good for the suffrage amendment in California. Suffrage lost in San Francisco and barely won in Los Angeles. Suffragists began to brace themselves as they prepared for a new campaign. It was the votes from California’s rural and inland counties that tipped the scales. According to one of the headlines, “Majorities Rolled up By Inland Counties.”

I had the most mild case of Shingles ever, to the point I didn’t realize it was shingles. Got the Shingrix vax as soon as it was available even though I’d had the earlier shingles vax already.

And we should all remember there is an association (not determined to be causal) between getting the Shingles vax and a reduced chance of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. I can’t wait for more studies on that data. Even if you don’t recall having Chickenpox, get the Shingles vax.

Two different teams examining the same data from two perspectives. Both conclude that the Chickenpox vaccine sharply reduces incidence of Shingles. Don’t forget there is an association between getting the Shingles vax and reducing Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The reason they want more people to adopt chatbots is because that could theoretically create a new revenue stream by eliminating the need for marketing or advertising and just taking cash from brands/parties/etc to change what the chatbot tells the user.
