If you feel like donating to the RNLI, here’s a link. I just have. Their minimum donation is £2: I think it might be nice for them to receive a lot of donations this week, even if they’re mostly very modest. Just so they know a lot of people out here appreciate their work. rnli.org/support-us/g...

As I stated in a previous post: Domestic abuse incidents rise around major football tournaments, increasing by 38% when England lose. My heart goes out to all those that were waiting for the final whistle and are now scared, waiting for the front door to open.

Domestic abuse has just increased massively. Is someone you know in danger? Think about checking in with them.

Farage is part of the establishment. And an arrogant grifter who thinks he first have to explain himself to anyone.

Why hasn’t anyone mentioned Ellie using the phrase ‘Secret Traitor’. They’re not supposed to know about it. So is she the secret traitor? #traitors

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 18181999: "Write what you know" is limiting advice, which leads to limited writing. Instead, know what you're writing about. That means due diligence: good research, wide reading, specialist help and advice if you need it. Stay curious. Try new ideas. No limits.

You can lock up as many people as you want for chanting or protesting against genocide. You will never scrub away the truth about that genocide - or your own complicity in it. You are just ensuring that you will be damned all the more for what you have done.

Israel bombed a hospital. Rescue workers and reporters rushed to recover the dead and the wounded. Israel bombed the hospital again. Live on TV. Read that again. Our government’s legacy will be its complicity in crimes against humanity. End all arms sales to Israel, now.

Barely an hour ago, Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif warned us all: “If this madness doesn’t end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its people’s voices silenced, their faces erased — and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.” Israel just killed him.

Good report here on internships. 20% are secured through family or friends. 1 in five are unpaid. 40% of interns rely on parental financial support. The result? Working class graduates are 20% less likely to secure an internship. Tell me again about meritocracy. www.suttontrust.com/our-research...

The only bad thing about Bluesky: it's now as addictive as Twitter was in, say, 2010. I'd forgotten how much time I can fanny away somewhere silly and upbeat. I hope my editor isn't on here yet.
