My Norway sports fan story: 1996 Olympics in Atlanta - my aunt got tickets to the rowing (or flat water canoeing?) event. It is not the most exciting thing to watch from a distance as a kid. There is a group of Norwegians there going absolutely apeshit any time there’s a Norwegian athlete.

One of my favorite things to do with my teenage kids on vacation in an unfamiliar city - after we’ve been there a few days (with me navigating everywhere), ask if any of them can get us back to the hotel from where we are. They generally do a really good job!

Two things can be true at once: 1) The Office was incredibly groundbreaking when it came out, both in form and style. Single-cam network sitcoms without a laugh track were really unusual! 2) Culture shifted so much in the 20 years since it debuted that it is absolutely not edgy in any way today.
