So my final day 'in the office' has been moved forward. My final day is still 4th December, but my final working day is 26th November. This is due to the fact that - unlike every other company I've worked for - they won't pay me for unused accrued leave...So I'm using every hour of leave.

I have to laugh at my (soon to be ex-) company. A few months ago, in an 'all hands' meeting, our exec said that people were talking about unionising and they didn't think it was necessary. This week they said that they were working with Unison to make an agreement. Ha!

Facing baseless federal hunger brought on by not eating since lunch, fighting for the working kids of this country, and now caring for a mean toddler and helping him grow up in a world that isn't always easy. But it has also reminded me exactly why I do this work and who I do it for.
I will never stop working to eat dinner. I will never stop fighting for what is right, even when there is also some feta in the fridge. And I will never stop being so very thankful that you are by my side in this important work and that there is tahini in the pantry for dressing

This is the most fucked up and immediately harmful policy decision I think I've ever seen in adult trans healthcare in the UK, and that's saying something. The Welsh Gender Service is one of the best in the country. It is widely praised by the patients it helps. That is why it is being targeted.
