I got really into that stuff during the pandemic. Bought a lot of stuff. About half of it has been extremely useful on a near daily basis. Biggest wins are flash lights and multi-tools. The rest of the stuff.. eh let's just hope I never need a tourniquet, but I'm glad I have it now.

Agreed. The only two I go to anymore are Taco Bell (because open late) and Raising Cane's because they're also open pretty late and actually still a decent value. It also seems like a store that only really sells one thing is usually pretty fast and almost always consistent.

Millennial here. There wasn't a ton of "house parties" as shown in the high school movies in my town, maybe one or two of those per year. It was more common a "small" group of people, maybe 15-20 which is probably still more than the OP has experienced.

Rewatching the Original Star Wars trilogy. On RotJ. Why did we all have such a crush on Boba Fett? He kinda "dies" like a bitch. Like he's supposed to be this elite bounty hunter and he all he does is float over to the skiff and miss a bunch of shots and then get knocked out by a blind guy.

For me it has less to do with puritanical up-bringing and more to do with the fact that rarely does the sex scene really move the story. You can kinda just imply it and move on to the next beat of the story. I can only think of a handful of sex scenes where it was really critical.

I was disappointed with the ending of the original run, thought the last season could have easily been 2 seasons or at least a few more episodes to flesh out some of the story lines a bit more. Watched the first episode of the new season tonight and really loved it. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Did you like the second one? That one just didn't hit for me so I haven't been terribly interested in the third one. I still enjoy the first one though. Not sure if it's just the nostalgia or they were just able to capture lightning in a bottle on that one.

I try to stay positive on main, but I don't know, man, asking for some level of "authenticity" in a depiction of a story with Cyclopes, a sorceress who transmutes sailors into pigs, singing sea witches, and gods turning a two week cruise into a 20 year voyage sounds absolutely dumb as fuck to me.
