It's important to understand that before Margaret Thatcher Social Care in the UK was basically nationalised. 100% of children and 64% of Pensioners were in Nationalised Social Care. And that it was destroyed by FORCING Councils to sell it off by freezing their budgets.

Lots of talk of growth ahead of the Budget, as if it were a baroque puzzle. Our problem is basic. I generally ignore royal stories, but there's something deeply tawdry about the saturation coverage here. It's basically one person's word against another, involving the parents of two real people who've probably suffered enough from their private grief being treated like primetime entertainment.
