Loving the way that Damon Albarn is deservedly catching strays in the comments for this post.

Nigel Farage wins the Clacton by-election, but is so cowardly that he won’t turn up for the results to be in a photo like this

1/ It’s fascinating that just as soon as Britain had broken the grip of ‘barmy’ EU officials, thanks to Farage and Brexit, than another battalion of villains have magically appeared standing between ‘Global Britain’ and the glorious ‘sunlit uplands’.

A lot of British politicians should be paying attention to this. Whilst they err and hmm over voters still being subjected to scam calls, dogshit on pavements etc. If you can’t fix the little stuff, what makes you think we trust you to fix the big stuff?

I know it’s straying into conspiracy theory territory, but there are three political regimes who would perceive a benefit from a disunited EU.

Burnham retaining Lisa Nandy as Culture Secretary means his days are numbered. Her inability to do her job and let Twitter/Facebook/GB News etc pump out disinformation, lies, child porn and incitement to riot means they’ll do the same to him. Two years time he’ll be in the same boat as Starmer.

People in the UK shouldn't need to petition a US Court to make Facebook reveal details of a libellous contributor. They are a publisher in Britain and should be treated as such. If outlets don't want to obey UK law then they should be blocked from publishing in the UK. metro.co.uk/2026/06/18/g...
