PSA: The latest NVIDIA App update adds a Default-ON option that allows AI Agents to control the app... Might want to turn it off.. Even aside from being lame AI features, that feels like making security even worse by defaulting it ON.

Emerging research warns that AI use in the classroom may do more harm than good. This month, the OECD acknowledged the drop in reading scores among 15-year-olds is associated with increased reliance on AI and digital technology. Studies also suggest AI can reduce teaching quality and weaken the teacher-student relationship. In British Columbia, more than 80% of teachers worried that students will become overly dependent on AI or lose critical thinking skills. Nevertheless, Amii promises their course will help teachers “tend a thriving digital classroom ecosystem.” With growing evidence of AI risks, how will Amii meaningfully guide educators to embed systems in an age-appropriate, pedagogically-sound way?

Google Health took over the old Fitbit health tracking app awhile back and I absolutely hate how it works. I miss the whimsy of the achievements. It did a better job tracking all information and history. Now it’s like…you may be alive or dead idk. Sometimes decides to crash/stop tracking 👎
