Mewt is mad at me right now because I trimmed her nails. I haven't done it in months, and while her other claws get work down from scratching things, her dew claws don't and WOW were they getting unwieldly for her, constantly getting caught in things. They're also the hardest to trim.

THE SCARLET BALL, my dark fantasy novel due out on OCT 6, is set in an 1890 that never existed. During the 1890s, dip pens were still king, but the modern fountain pen was beginning to appear. This, I suspect, is a Beekman fountain pen from the late 1890s.

Watched too much Towsends and decided to make a potato and onion pie. Threw in some crispy chunks of thick cut bacon because why not? Seasoned with salt, pepper, oregano, and fresh thyme. Meant to add apple as well but forgot. Overall it's pretty tasty!
