Nicky Hager's book sounds absolutely great, and I'm hoping to read it someday, but we really need more scrutiny on our "left" wing parties as well. For example, why do @greens.org.nz have Josh Jacobson, a former NZSAS officer who operated in Afghanistan in the 2000s.

Waterfox is basically just Firefox without the extra bloat, including AI. It syncs using a Mozilla account (the same one as Firefox), so everything transfers over automatically when you log in.

I'm one of those very rare people to be thankful I was homeschooled, granted what I had was very different to a lot of people in the US. The couple years I went to school from 7 and a half to 9 and a half were absolute hell.

Almost definitely not the actual computer I remember having, but it was definitely very similar to this Gateway. The first computer that was actually mine was a (somewhat haphazard) frankenstein computer largely made out of parts I saved from being thrown out.

Not to mention the fact a lot of it is super broken, and the amount of security flaws is approaching impressive. It's frustrating Omarchy is getting money that a lot of other distros deserve a lot more. If I was gonna pick any distro to throw money at it'd be CachyOS.

Everything with Omarchy absolutely reeks, even aside from the fact the dev is a raging bigot. It's barely more than a year old, only just different enough from Arch to count as its own distro (which is debatable tbh), and suddenly big companies are giving it funding.

There are so, so many distros that aren't run by horrible people that companies could be supporting. Everything to do with Omarchy reeks. It's a very slightly modified version of Arch, and no one would care about it if it wasn't getting a weird amount of funding.

I agree about the cunning and temptation (hoping bluesky translated your post right), but there's a lot more to the poem than just that. They made Odysseus come off a lot less arrogant than he does in the poem, and he just felt a bit uninteresting in the movie.

I have had more than one trans friend that has been assaulted verbally and/or physically, and the people around did absolutely nothing. We might be a little more accepting here than in a lot of other countries, but members of the public very rarely step in to help.

Saw the Odyssey tonight, and I thought it was ok. Kinda bland, and changing the stuff with Polyphemus was just weird. There's nothing horny in it either, and Odysseus and his crew being horny causes more than a few issues in the poem.
