I am very thankful that I grew up with a fairly good education in the Indigenous history of Canada. I had Indigenous friends, I went to their reserve, we went to many powwows, and we were taught about residential schools. it is so important that we keep this education alive and improve it.

The Memorial Cloth is a 60-metre commemoration the honours the names of thousands of children that died as a result of residential schools in Canada. It is displayed each year as part of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event on Parliament Hill.
