Having received the HPV vaccine before pregnancy is associated with a lower risk of major pregnancy complications, including preterm birth, with the greater reduction in risk seen among women vaccinated at an earlier age, finds study in The BMJ bit.ly/4yNoTmA
An infographic from The BMJ titled "Quadrivalent HPV vaccination before pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes." It features a summary stating quadrivalent HPV vaccination before pregnancy is associated with lower risks of adverse pregnancy outcomes. The study design and population details are presented, highlighting 624,713 births in Sweden from 2006 to 2013 and 52,950 HPV vaccinations before pregnancy. A comparison between cases and controls shows matched data. Outcomes, including preterm birth and stillbirth, are displayed with numbers and confidence intervals for both cases and controls, alongside a forest plot. And, of course, the party of freedom leaps at the chance to go full authoritarian.
Seymour said someone is “not work ready if they’re stoned,” adding, “Why should people get up early and go to work to pay for other people’s drugs?”

“Where are the successful societies in the world whose Government pay people to stay home and abuse drugs? Work ready should already mean drug testing, because there aren’t many jobs you can do well while stoned.”

Seymour also said two years in a benefit is “too long” and that ACT would put Jobseekers on a plastic card for essentials only after four months.

“It’s good to test beneficiaries for drugs, but what’s better is not giving them cash to buy drugs in the first place.”

“Electronic money management system delivers the benefit through an electronic payment card directed to essentials such as groceries, rent, power, transport, health and childcare. The card will block spending on alcohol, gambling, tobacco, and cash withdrawals,” he said.
