I always appreciate it when people express an interest in my safety. I encourage people to expand that concern beyond plastic hats. I've needed helmets: they can help! But please also ask drivers to slow down, judge people with dangerous trucks or habits, and ask leaders to build separated lanes.

Ratio can tell you who played on a record now, not just who released it. A musician gets a page of their own, for the human rather than the band: what they play, who they play with, and everything they have been credited on across every project.

Pedestrianization is often framed as transforming streets. In many cases, we're actually restoring them. We're reclaiming what's been lost: social connection, local commerce, civic life, and human-scale movement. Perhaps it's time to shift from street transformation to street restoration.

Lots of good updates to the Ratio platform over the weekend. Here's my summary from the Ratio.fm Discord:
Quick rundown of what's new on Ratio in the past few days.
For subscribers:

Manage subscription button in Account opens the Stripe portal directly. Cancel, update payment, view invoices. Self-service.
Self-service for everything. Email change, data export, account deletion (30-day grace if you change your mind). Whatever you need to do, you can do it from your account without emailing support.
Shareable monthly recap card on My Ratio → Share got a serious upgrade. Designed to screenshot and post.
Recap emails now have an unsubscribe link if you want one.

For artists:

Dashboard refactor. Tabs are now at the top. Stats and share kit live inside the Releases tab. Adding a new project moved from a hidden dropdown to a prominent form in the Projects tab.
AI affirmation required at upload. One checkbox confirming your work meets our no-AI policy.

For everyone:

ratio.fm/install - full walkthrough for installing Ratio on your phone (with a one-tap install button on Android)
ratio.fm/ai-policy - explicit public stance. This platform is for human-made music. Generative AI uploads are not allowed. Reports go to ai-report@ratio.fm. Violations result in track removal, payout reversal, and account termination.

Worth knowing:

The My Ratio page got reorganized so the tabs aren't buried. Everything is easier to find.
