If they won’t listen to Adrienne Clarkson (and I’m sure they won’t), I don’t know who they’ll listen to. The state of women’s healthcare in Canada is horrific. Some might say deadly.

To be permitted and built just in time for the world to electrify, killing the business case for LNG growth. This is like investing in Blockbuster in 2004, when the company was at it's peak, and Netflix was new on the scene.

OMG this Carney press conference is such a greenwashing joke. I guess he heard our anger about removing protections for the coast for his ridiculous pipeline... How can he think anyone is going to take this seriously?? He really thinks British Columbians are stupid, doesn't he.

Greetings from the maskless public health clinic, where the official coronavirus guidance in the year of our lord 2026 is to cough into your elbow.
A poster at the Nova Scotia Health Authority's public health clinic. The title is "good hygiene stops the spread of germs" and the subtitle is "good respiratory hygiene". There is a graphic of hands being washed. The poster recommends "coughing or sneezing into a tissue or your elbow to cover your nose and mouth", throwing away the tissue, and cleaning your hands. There are instructions on how to properly wash your hands. The bottom of the poster notes that it was "updated May 28, 2020" and has the logo of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Finally, it says: "for more information, visit novascotia.ca/coronavirus"Various posters on the wall of the public health clinic. A large one is titled "how to build global community" and has a long list of guiding principles such as "talk to strangers", "question consumption", and "notice the workings of power and privilege in your culture". There are many other, smaller posters promoting such things as HPV vaccines, privacy protection, and zero tolerance for workplace abuse. One poster, titled "positive space", says: "this is a place where we uphold human rights and provide affirming, inclusive healthcare for people of all gender identities and sexual orientations".Ben taking a photo of himself in the mirror of the public health clinic bathroom. Ben is wearing a black cap (to hide helmet hair), an N95 respirator, and a striped blue t-shirt. There is a heart-shaped, "Progress Pride" sticker on the bathroom mirror.

I watched this and only feel more confused about whether in our mid-40s we'll be able to somehow make a life here w/my current circumstances. We could so easily start over if I wasn't sick, disabled, mostly housebound, and having to take covid/airborne precautions (almost nobody still masks here). 🫠

1. My mother passed away three years ago today. She died in the early hours of the morning in the nursing home she had lived in from late 2019. The nursing home was, at that point, in a Covid-19 outbreak, the eleventh outbreak in the facility since the pandemic began.
A selfie photograph of my mother and I. We are both smiling. My mother's hair is blond and she is wearing glasses. The chairs of a theatre can be seen behind us.

Mark Carney is privatizing airports and allowing foreign investors (mainly American) to buy up the country. Slashing corporate tax rates and offering up vast amounts of resources for mining and extraction corporations. The country is for sale. Liberal voters were duped.
UST IN: Canada has announced to reduce marginal effective tax rate on new business investment to 6.4% from 13%, the lowest among the G7, and half the rate in the US, per the Globe and Mail

The changes will take effect right away and remain permanent.@sarobertson_

Mark Carney on airport privatization: "We will seek private investment through long-term concessions to operate Canada's four largest airports, following best practice in other countries. The Government of Canada will retain ownership of the underlying land and assets."@KatusaResearch
Canada handed 300 of the world's biggest investors a 66-page pitchbook this week

▪️167 projects worth about US$425 billion

▪️63 of them are MINES

That's more than the clean energy, oil and gas, and data-centre chapters combined.
