Idly browsing the British Museum Bayeux Tapestry gift selection and it's impressively bonkers - and also very good. William the Conqueror as a cat greeting card and Bayeux Tapestry Top Trumps my favourites so far.

Why parliament is weird (no.1): Why can't MPs call each other liars?
MPs can be quite rude to each other in the House. So why can’t they call each other liars?

It's just weird isn't it when the British Museum is running a sold-out exhibition, when The Odyssey reports $1billion at the box office, when the V&A has just opened the most innovative and accessible museum model in Europe....and this is what our minister for research comes out with.

This is literally a plot point in “It Can’t Happen Here” by Sinclair Lewis. Written in 1935, it predicts the rise of a fascist populist who promises each family $5,000 per year if he’s elected.

Have 2 weeks off in Nov and no plans (except to see new Hunger Games film, probably in Reading). Really did want to get up to northeast, but Nov just feels like a bad time for it. Is because I have too much leave to use up before end of year. Ideas for day trips will be considered :)

ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok Are Down
It is apparently not a good day for AI chatbots, as ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok are all down or experiencing issues for many users. OpenAI's status page acknowledges issues across ChatGPT and Codex, while Grok's website notes that it is currently experiencing issues as well. Likewise, Anthropic's status page indicates Claude is experiencing elevated errors. All of the companies are investigating the issues.Tag: ChatGPT This article, "ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok Are Down" first appeared on MacRumors.com Discuss this article in our forums

If you’ve never seen Clue you should go watch Clue. And if you don’t want to for some reason you should at least treat yourself to the clip of Tim Curry falling/throwing himself down. The man had a *gift*. Up there with Rowan Atkinson and Hugh Laurie in the “chucking yourself at the floor” stakes.
