In terms of end result, will people respect the magnitude of the Holocaust more or less when it is invoked on a constant basis by Israelis to defend the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime of Palestinian land and Palestinian people?

There is a difference between imposing a boycott on products from the settlements and opening the suitcases of Israeli tourists in order to humiliate them intentionally. And this reminds me, I don't know why, of another story: Hundreds of Dutch Holocaust survivors, who returned to Amsterdam after the war, were required to pay bills, municipal taxes, and fines for the period during which they were absent from their homes due to deportation to the camps.
Even Jews who returned from
Auschwitz were required to pay bills, including gas bills that were not paid by the residents who took over their homes and lived there during the war.
