I RAGED at this on the radio yesterday, and will repeat my mantra: you cannot (MUST NOT) ask people to develop 'resilience' or 'grit' against those things that are in your power to change. 'Develop resilience' so often means 'your disability is inconveniencing me, please be less disabled' 🧵

I honestly am out of ideas for what is wrong with Streeting if he thinks going back to saying "toughen up" to an undiagnosed 7 year old girl in 1992 crying in the school toilets because i didn't know why i was different, he thinks that's the frickin answer?!

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening. That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk. Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

The BBC keep doing this. This isn't true. This is straightforwardly wrong in law. The ruling *only* applied to the Equality Act 2010. Trans women are still legally women for the vast majority of purposes! That's the whole point of the Gender Recognition Act. I've put in a complaint. So can you.
Her remarks come after a Supreme Court ruling that the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex.

The Welsh government said it was "carefully considering" the court's decision.

Reality of being disabled. But the government and media will lie and push propaganda, exactly as the nazis did, that disabled people are a burden on the state. As i said before, disabled people were the nazis FIRST target to m*rder en masse. And too many seem to be ignoring that fact.
Screenshot of holocaust encyclopedia explaining "nazi regime also singled out people with intellectual and physical disabilities..." this hereditary ill person will cost our national community 60,000 reichmarks over the course of his lifetime. As someone who smoked for a year or two (not very much and long ago), I think the uptick in ADHD diagnoses over the last 25 years is largely because when cigarettes were in vogue, chainsmoking was a decent way to self-med for it. Sure it kills you, but raw ADHD feels like your skeleton wants out.

This report should break something in all of us. 15,613 children. The first 27 pages of the report list children whose ages are 0. 26% were under the age of 5
Screenshot from an article that reads

On Monday, the ministry published a list of names of 15,613 children under the age of 18 who it said had been killed in Israeli military operations in Gaza.
Among them, 890 children were under the age of 1, and 274 were born and died during the war. Almost a quarter, 26%, were under the age of 5.

Book cover. Delightfully sophisticated muted colours, an outline of a house being smothered by vines a la To The Lighthouse middle section, containing vignettes of a guitar, a cup, a pan, a chair, a cat, a cactus, and five silhouettes of women.

Please invite me to a fancy dress party so I can go as Willie Nelson
Back cover of Stardust by Willie Nelson. It is a shot of Willie's head and upper chest. He is dressed TO THE NINES. He's wearing a multi-coloured puffer jacket, a blue cravat tied in a rough knot, and a black top hat with a colourful hat band embroidered with WN. He is sporting a ginger moustache and beard and long ginger hair. He has a delightful smile. In the background, reminiscent of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, there is a rolling, barren landscape. The album's track list is in the top left corner

A close-up of a Rodimus Star being handed from Rodimus to Chromedome. It is a gold badge in the shape of a shield with Rodimus's face on it. The Rodimus Star is in the centre of the picture at a slight angle. It is being placed into a robot hand and you can see a few fingers of a second robot hand in the top left corner.
