Trans people have always been the canary in the mine. It was the case for the Nazi’s in the 1930s and it’s the case for the Far Right now. It’s the thin end of the wedge and it doesn’t stop here.

By-election latest: A Green Party source tells me the response in Gorton today has been so positive that they're reallocating resources to Denton. They claim ex-Labour voters say they can't vote for the party with Starmer as leader, so tactical voting doesn't come into it.

Well well well… what a surprise that such a staunch ‘defender’ of women and girls is indeed actually best chums with Epstein and apparently Andrew too. Said no one, because we knew it was never about protecting women and girls, it was always about protecting the patriarchy.

I have just voted for #DeputyLeader in the #GPEWelections - the toughest of the races! I thought (and read, and watched) a lot about how to vote, not just because it is such a big field, but because there is so much talent and experience among them. And really - there is not a single candidate...1/2

Green Women’s Declaration verdict on Deputy Candidates.

Ani Townsend
Ani was a Co-Chair of GPW in 2022. She blocked every action and when she finally resigned, together with colleagues, she set up a rival women's group based on gender, not sex.
GWD does not believe that Ani has the networking or presentation skills to be an effective Deputy. Ani is a full blown gender extremist and will put that ideology above all other considerations.
GWD recommends that Ani Townsend is nowhere on your ballot, not even below RON.

My response

Thank you so much fo reaffirming my consistent support for trans rights.
