Still unclear it seems. They say they “work closely with local authorities” but no one at BCC says they have. It is possible that it’s through WECA and WEVA haven’t communicated that, but that also seems unlikely. There is a senior officer investigating still.

By-election latest: A Green Party source tells me the response in Gorton today has been so positive that they're reallocating resources to Denton. They claim ex-Labour voters say they can't vote for the party with Starmer as leader, so tactical voting doesn't come into it.
