I walked past the old Central Retail Park the other day and it's very much still an industrial wasteland. Recently home to a 10 story high dust devil. The new Ancoats Green is nestled deeper into Ancoats.

BBC news article that incorrectly describes a new park being built on the old Central Retail park site.

The park they reference is actually a bit further away and much smaller.

The least defensive response I've seen to Pride banning political parties from anyone in politics. People whining about their right to march with Labour or Lib Dem signage: take note.

Scottish Greens co-leader and Glasgow MSP Patrick Harvie (below) said he was ashamed of how some politicians are letting down the city.

He said: “As both a politician and someone who has been out since before my first election and has never shied away from standing up to prejudice, I feel ashamed of how politics in this country is letting down my own community.

“I am of course disappointed at this decision, but the betrayal of our human rights by most political parties is the cause of this horrendous situation, and I fully respect the right of Pride organisers to make this decision.

“Greens have stood solid against the current wave of prejudice, and will continue to do so. But it is now abundantly clear that the community has lost trust in political parties more broadly, and I urge those in leadership positions across the spectrum, and members of all parties who do support LGBTQ+ people's human rights, to put their house in order."

Just read nonsense on X: Apparently the UK supreme court pointed out that human sexuality is based on biological sex, not gender. I feel a disturbance in the force, as countless UK lesbians and gay men suddenly cried out and became legally bisexual. (Not dissing the bisexuals btw ⚧️). 🙄

This morning @greenparty.org.uk has called for the EHRC’s harsh and ill-considered guidance on single-sex spaces to be withdrawn. As it stands the guidance puts trans people at risk of discrimination & violence, and clearly hasn’t been drawn up with trans people’s input. I’ll be pushing for better.

Are trans women, women? Yes, yes they are. The fact the law may or may not agree with this currently is irrelevant. At one point the law said women couldn't vote, you couldn't teach about LGBTQ issues, and Black people could be discriminated against. The law is wrong.
