Social media shouldn't be anonymous. You want to go on a racist rant? Fine - enjoy your freedom to express that opinion but take some fucking responsibility for it, rather than hiding behind a fake name and awful AI slop "patriotic" avatar.

I'm half-British and half-Thai. A random right-winger verbally racially abused me in the street for no reason at all. That same man was in my A&E ward a couple of days later due to a cardiac arrest. I was the doctor who saved him. There's a moral in that story somewhere.

#pnefc I can't say that was an improvement. The goals are of the same that could have landed in the previous 6 or more games - our luck was in this time is all. Same poor defending. Needs new thinking, fresh impetus and don't think Euell is that.

Popped over Twitter, to see what #pnefc followers were saying. 🤦 FWIW the loss at Watford had f*** all to do with subs. It was gone by then. 1) poor conversion of huge amount chances in first half, 2) Poor pass by Devine led to equaliser, 3) Inability to deal with cross fot 3rd goal. Simples.

...And the first half showed such promise. I'd hoped Mills coming on would spark them into life, but nothing happened, the back just looked lost. 🙃 #pnefc

Much needed result today. Good attacking goals, that have been coming, but pleased we finally managed to get them in the back of the net. They are beginning to look like they can play together as a team, it will take time, but is a good building block. #pnefc

#pnefc Someone who promised much, but never did get to the goal scoring numbers the team needed him to be at, and was just too toxic in the end. Difficult to get a quality replacement for the monies they sold him for, but on balance, it was still good business in the end.

It really doesn’t matter who Reform uses to do their vetting. They can only ever choose dickheads because only dickheads would apply. No one credible or decent would touch this hideous clownshow with a bargepole. Choosing Paul Nuttall is sublime though. (Private Eye)
NUTTALL FACTORY ADMITTING in January that his party's vetting process has "been pisspoor in the past", Nigel Farage made a solemn pledge that "it won't be in the future".
Alas, signs of improvement have been few and far between. Not only did Reform UK select multiple racists for the May local elections, but it also managed to pick a self-proclaimed sexist as its candidate for last week's Makerfield by-election. Now, in the belief that a general election may be on the horizon, Reform has started selecting parliamentary candidates. Hopefuls are obliged to cough up a £250 application fee and submit a form detailing their experience, before having their media skills tested.
The man Reform has chosen to oversee this rigorous vetting process? Er... Paul Nuttall, the party's vice-chairman who previously served as leader of Ukip from November 2016 to June 2017. During his time at Ukip's helm, it was revealed that Nuttall's personal website and LinkedIn account made a number of false claims about his past, including that he had a PhD in history, was once a professional footballer, and lost "close friends" in the Hillsborough disaster. What could possibly go wrong!

How conventient for political journalists, to all be gathered in Downing Street once more, so they can interview each other, to ask "how did this happen?", without ever acknowledging that, at least in part, they themselves are how this happened.
