Fabula Ultima (need.games/fabula-ultima/) is fun, y'all. JRPG meets tabletop pen & paper roleplaying. And yes, the name is a play on Final Fantasy - but it's got way more to offer than just the elevator pitch.

My personal view is that synthetic data goes against everything we do - ethically, morally and scientifically. If you don't care what people think, feel or do, then don't do surveys, focus groups, workshops. Otherwise what's the difference between me just inventing answers and using synthetic data?

If you, btw, would like an example of a place where data centres are *actually* being restricted by legislation, go look at Denmark - where they are now last in the grid connection queue, prioritising socially valuable load growth (like electrification, heating, cooling, new homes) first

Denmark Puts Data Centers Last in New Grid Law
Denmark's emergency grid law puts data centers last behind households and green-transition projects, formalizing rationing that began in February 2026.

Screenshot: Out of ten men, one makes a sexual joke at a woman, two laugh, three fake a chuckle to fit in, and four stay silent.

None of them speak up. Later, nine of them still believe they're the "good guys." But from the woman's perspective, the laughter, the silence, the looking away, it all creates the same environment. So when women say "most men are the same." this is what they mean: not that every man harasses women, but that most men help protect the system that does.

Autosending crappy, nonsense emails is, I think, one of the things that shows the big gap between what so much enterprise AI does and what most people need. It's all being sold on the promise of enhanced customer acquisition but pretty sure no one has asked the customers if they want to be acquired

A few months ago I started wondering if not using LLMs for coding right now would be a detriment to me as a programmer, but I concluded that the idea is nonsensical. I could start Not Writing My Own Code at any moment, and having stopped programming 2 years ago wouldn’t make me a better programmer.

This collective LLM delusion is completely baffling to me. People are talking like truth, correctness, precision, performance, security… none of it matters anymore. Generating a lie is «good enough». Wtf is wrong with people? If correctness doesn’t matter, why would I pay you? A wrong answer is free
