As a parent of a trans kiddo - medical care for trans care is clear, has medical recommendations, and does not need you sticking your nose into the business. The only debate is an existential one. Either you support trans people, or you think they don't deserve to exist. Everything else is noise.

did bluesky hear about Miss Teen Indiana’s Garfield costume
A young woman in a Garfield inspired outfit with a Garfield headdressThe young woman from the first photo is holding a lasagna that says “lasagna my love language”missinteenusa Tonight, Indiana is going Garfield!
My state costume celebrates one of Indiana's most iconic creations-Garfield, created by fellow Hoosier Jim Davis.
Born in Marion and raised in Fairmount, Davis turned an orange cat with a big personality into a character recognized and loved around the world.
But this costume represents more than a famous Hoosier.
The hand-painted comic panels on my skirt share messages inspired by my initiative, Captivating Confidence:
"Our differences are what make us beautiful."
"If we don't have love, we have nothing."
"Outer beauty attracts, but inner beauty captivates."
To me, true confidence is found in embracing what makes each of us different and recognizing that our greatest beauty comes from within. I am so excited to bring a little Hoosier humor, creativity and confidence to the Miss Teen USA stage tonight!
This one-of-a-kind costume was inspired by my vision and brought to life by Indianapolis-based costume designer, Jess West. @jesswestcostumes

FYI there is no "real" reason why Rome "fell." Its power waned for the usual, mundane reasons: widening gap between rich and poor, inability to maintain infrastructure, incompetent leadership, pointless wars, endless persecution of marginalized groups who performed vital labor, etc.

Both totally unnecessary and extremely funny that the Guardian has an interactive graphic for you to change the color of the US flag's blue to the color of the Reflecting Pool from 8 to 19 June and counting
Screenshot of the article's graphic, showing color swatches derived from the Earthcam archive, illustration the color of the reflecting pool calibrated against satellite imagery, from 8 June to 19 June 2026. I chose yesterday, 19 June, so it rendered the US American flag with a green hue instead of blue.

Caravaggio's Baccus painting, featuring a lush fruity spread and leaves bedecking a pasty twink who only works out his armsArticle screenshot that says:

The most extreme examples of
Stendhal syndrome share a sensation of
self-fragmentation. Magherini
describes the case of a 53-year-old
German man who was hospitalized
after repeatedly viewing Caravaggio's
Bacchus at Uffizi Gallery. The patient
felt "an attraction closer and closer to
an intimate sexual arousal of
ambiguous nature that invaded him
and made him feel good and bad."
Unmoored and distressed, he sought
medical attention. After treating the
subject's initial episode, Magherini
writes that he came to recognize his
latent homosexuality. Another case...

Sometimes I check out local free Craigslist just for fun. Found a hot tub that doesn't want to hear about Greg and hates Emmas
Giving away the hot tub. It's a 6 seater, paid $4,200 new in 2014, jets all still work, heater works mostly. You haul. It's around 700 lbs empty, so you'll want a trailer and at least three guys. There's a spigot on the back left for draining.

One thing to know up front. The tub has developed preferences.

I'm not trying to mislead anyone so I'm being straight with you. Starting in early 2022 it started doing things. The jets on the north side, the side facing the house, shut off when my ex-wife Cheryl would get in. Not when anyone else got in. Just her. I had two repair guys out, both said nothing was wrong with the unit. The second guy said "sometimes appliances pick up on stuff" which I didn't really process at the time.

By that summer she was barely using it. She said the water "felt judgmental." I thought she was being dramatic. Then in October she sat down across from me in the tub and told me about Greg. The tub went completely still. No bubbles, no hum, the underwater light dimmed about halfway down. I'm not saying it reacted, I'm just telling you what happened in the order it happened.

After she moved out it came back to normal mostly. Bubbles are good, heat is good. But it will not warm past 98 degrees if a woman named Emma uses it. Doesn't matter which Emma. My sister Emma, my neighbor Emma, and the Emma who delivered a package and asked if she could test it because she was thinking about buying one. All three. 98 and it stops climbing. You can test this yourself, bring a Emma.

Couple other things to mention. Around 2 or 3 am it sometimes cycles the jets on its own for about 40 seconds. I used to think it was a timer issue but the timer's been unplugged since January. Also the cover remembers. I don't really want to get into the cover.

I'm not asking anything for it, I just want it gone. I think it would be happier somewhere new, somewhere it doesn't have to think about Greg. If you take it, please be kind to it. It's been through a lot. We both have
