danah boyd recently argued that social media (as we knew it) is mostly dead; what we have now is parasocial media: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/... I agree. Networked social media is disappearing, replaced by a new logic/structure of content creator, creator-centered community, & algorithm.

This meets the threshold for intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national group as set forth in 18 US Code § 1091 prohibiting the crime of genocide.
It any Iranians are killed pursuant to this threat, President Trump will be guilty of genocide, as will those assisting him.

A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

Yesterday in an interview for the National Alliance of Acting Teachers, interviewer Hugh said my work changed his perspective on the role of consent in his acting studio & classroom. I feel like this quote summarizes my opinion on the importance of consent: #theatre #Theatresky #edusky #pedagogy

A photo from a performance. The photo is a very close cropped image of a woman attempting to speak as a man kisses her cheek, giving an air of non-consent to the performance. Facing today’s world, I falter in thinking that my work matters. But stories that call out sexism, explore fear & mourning & resilience & resistance around childbearing & career & miscarriage—in the face of authoritarian movements which seek to suffocate women—remains important.
