My entire life - ever since I was like seven years old - I'd been told that I was childish and naive because my solution to homelessness was 'give people homes' and my solution to poverty was 'give people money' Decades later, dozens of studies international prove me right but it's still 'childish'

Blorbo from my Ankh-Morpork government

Four panels depicting Lord Vetinari, a pale man with a pointy goatee slicked-back black hair and sharp features. In the first he is rising an eyebrow judgementally, in the second he is working at his desk with a quill in hand, in the third he is lifting a hand as if to stop someone talking and holding his chin pensively, in the fourth he is smiling lightly and saying 'Ah, Vimes'

Hay montañas de estudios sobre el efecto de tener “school resource officers” (que es como se le llama a esto en USA). Son uniformemente negativos. Y aquí es un lugar que casi lo justificarías para prevenir tiroteos. Y ni eso detienen.

I have collected a bunch of ex-libris (or bookplates), let me show you some of them. They flourish in the 15th century with the rise of the printing press, to mark ownership of books. Here's one of my fav, you can see that early on they are really personal objects, sometime mysterious or funny.

Bookplate of Hans Igler (Johannes Knabensperg), a hedgehog walking to the left, with a flowering plant in its mouth; a scroll above printed with Gothic lettering 'hanns Igler das dich ein igel ku[e]s'. Woodcut 1470-1480 (circa)

Hey artists! QRP with your sketch vs final!

Sketch of Lady Sybil, a tall, fat woman wearing a long gown with puffy sleeves and a wig, she is adorned with star-shaped jewels and there are shapes around her that will be dragons

Art Nouveau inspired portrait of Lady Sybil Ramkin, a tall fat woman wearing a black velvet gown, a black wig and star-shaped diamond jewellery. She has three silver swamp dragons with her.

the WIP from the other day is now finished. Mandatory Muchaesque fanart of a cool lady. #discworld or whatever

A vaguely art nouveau inspired portrait of Lady Sybil Ramkin at the end of Guards Guards she is wearing glittering jewels and a black wig and black velvet dress. She is holding one swamp dragon in one arm, and another is perched on her shoulder, and she is petting a third, larger dragon by her hip. These dragons are silvery, matching her jewels and standing out against the dark blue background like stars.

Spring has sprung and Easter is just around the corner, so it’s time for my yearly reminder: if you own cats, DO NOT bring lilies ANYWHERE into your house. Even just breathing in the pollen or drinking the water from a vase can be fatal to kitties.

Picture of a black and white sketch of my oc Sépia crouching, arms extended behind him, holding what looks like strings

Picture of another sketch of Sépia crouching, he's looking up and kinda annoyed

Another sketch of Sépia, this time standing up, back towards the camera, holding his hands in his back, under what looks like a very long reptile/dragon like tail

Another sketch of Sépia, crouching again, looking down and tired
