I was prevented from walking my bike on Southport a few weeks ago. I can understand not allowing people to ride through but they told me I couldn’t bring my bike in at all. It was just in my way! I wanted to go past and continue using the bike lane!

All this works best with softer, more “supple” tires. Your Marathons probably barely move even when they’re flat. Those things are like rocks, lol.

Standing next to the bike, you can place your thumb across the tread and put the heel of your other hand over top. Press down with your weight. This will give you an idea of how your tire will react when going over something like a rock. You DEFINITELY shouldn’t be able to touch the rim.

Pinching a tire with your fingers shouldn’t really move the rubber. If it does, your tires are probably much too low. For riding on the road, the rubber shouldn’t really spread even with your full weight on the bike.

Things that low tire pressure can feel like: -Bouncy -Heavy (like its much harder than it should be to move and accelerate) -pulling to on side of the other (irregularly and especially when going over seams or cracks in pavement) -feeling the rim hit when going over rocks, potholes, curbs etc.

Typically I wouldn’t bring anything consumable (except maybe a water bottle) into an interview, but if they don’t offer me coffee or water when we’re speaking (especially if it’s before noon) I think they’ve messed up.

My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.

Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

Lots of hot springs in that area, might be nice to do a spa/resort situation! I was in Calistoga for a wedding in early summer but didn’t have time to do spa stuff unfortunately. Beautiful country!

Yes! The fact that more bars and restaurants don’t have fire pits and heaters and hot drinks is a travesty. Fully enclosed “patios” don’t count, imo
