Co-creating handbooks in research teams resource - taking the worry out of the process for anyone who wants to create a lab handbook with others, regardless of their role, experience or career stage. Designed by Gina Vong, Dr Ines Hahn and Dr Alex Payne-Dwyer figshare.com/articles/dat...

Interactive Guide to Creating Your Lab Handbook
So you want a lab handbook?Welcome! If you’re reading this, you probably want your lab to have a handbook. Perhaps you ended up here after hearing about how lab handbooks can improve group culture and help people do better research. Maybe you’re not sure about how to do it, or are daunted by the process; it’s a lot of work after all! We hope this resource will guide you through the process, so you can focus on actually creating your handbook, rather than worrying about how to do it.We made this resource based on our experiences working with multiple pilot lab groups in the University of York Biology Department. Through doing this, we tried to make it accessible to groups of different sizes, who work on different topics in a variety of ways. You don’t have to be a principal investigator (PI) or line manager yourself this resource is for anyone who wants to create a lab handbook with others in their group regardless of role, experience or career stage.

🌷🌷🌷 Looking at the flowering tulip fields, we biologists realize the heterogeneity in all things. Averaging data can mask vital details, but C-Trap’s single-molecule measurements reveal every unique interaction. Capture the full spectrum of molecular dynamics! More here: lumicks.com/products/c-t...
Single colored tulips fields that appear orange my at closer look consist of a diversity of red, yellow and pink tulips. In the back we see windmills in blue. A heading says: "Biology is not homogeneous. Study the heterogeneous processes with the C-Trap!"
