What do 16-18-year-olds actually think about Burnham? 🤔 When we asked our focus group what comes to mind, one answered: "Politics and pubs. The Smiths." But awareness is patchy. When asked if they know what his current role is, one said: "Is it Prime Minister? I want to say Prime Minister."

LibDems can still be powerful political players if they efficiently target voters. They’ve done this well in the past – just look at the May 2026 elections where they won seats despite losing votes – and their support is still clustered in the South of England, incl London.

They have a brand issue: in a Britain where half want radical change, LibDems are drawing support from people who want moderate or minimal/no change. Ed Davey is likeable, but not seen as having a plan.

LibDems are in Brighton today, but where is the party in our fragmented political system? In political purgatory. They are outshone by the Greens on the left. LibDems have been trailing in our VI polling for the last year, aemorrhaging their 2024 voters. Data from @ipsosintheuk.bsky.social

Burnham needs to not fall into a similar trap & assume people will automatically support regional growth. Labour voters are split, others lean more strongly towards an improved national economy. Gov't needs to explain more clearly regional growth doesn't mean 'other regions' tinyurl.com/4p7acpbs

Let's talk about money for a second. One of the errors I think Reeves made is not explaining how economic growth will benefit people. It's not that Brits don't see the value in eco growth, they do!, but they're not willing to accept it at any cost (environment, immigration).

Farage's strength is obviously his strong base. All Brits: 23% satisfied Current Reform voters: 81% 2024 Reform voters: 74% I do think Clacton is useful in confirming the strength of this base. As previous by-elections showed Reform's weaknesses

Farage received a strong majority in the Clacton by-election yesterday increasing his total votes from the 2024 election. But public satisfaction with the Reform UK leader has been slowly declining. 🔵June 2025 - 34% satisfied, 49% dissatisfied. 🔵 August 2026 - 23% satisfied, 61% dissatisfied.
