Inspectors General offices have been downsized by 19%. Not surprisingly then, they are providing 25% fewer investigations despite there being much more to investigate. Reports are also taking longer to be published. The acting IG for Education was removed after she complained about stonewalling.

To be clear, the orange felon didn’t make a deal for cheaper beef to help Americans, he orchestrated a plan to flood the US with unknown foreign mystery meat to sicken the population whilst simultaneously betraying ranchers who voted for him. Yes he’s a fraud, but he’s also sadistic.

I hear the same people talking about 'emergent behavior' of LLMs. I feel like what they are missing is that the only emergent behavior is that their are minds anthropomorphizing a language generator, because they equate language fluency with intelligence.

GenAI's user base is/will continue to (especially once they do Alexa-like household assistants with them like they're gonna) largely skewed toward the Will Put A Whole Egg In Their Mouth If U Tell Them To demographic and it's kind of nuts actually to ban TikTok but not chatGPT, to protect the kids

There's no good reason to use LLMs, and nearly every vaguely legit use case I've seen could be solved with a plain Google search or a simple screen reader and OCR. In other words, with tools we've had for a decade. Why are people fooled by these ELIZA machines?

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 164001: If you want to beat AI, write using your human voice, from your human perspective. Write about feelings; sensations; dreams. Be you, in all your uniqueness. AI is generic; bland; acceptable. Dare to be different; subversive; real. That's how we stay human.

Deep down people know that despite all the sales pitches in the world, so-called AI isn't actually for them. It's meant to manage them, control them, and long term quite frankly replace them. This is hand in hand with the rising Plutonimy and the growing consumer irrelevance of the masses.

They are trying -everything- to get the masses to adopt this but it's not happening. They are forcing it in work places, forcing it to make more and more career paths relevant, forcing it on young people's education, etc. None of it is getting people on board.

With AI it's the opposite, the change isn't organic, the change is being brute forced to the protest of virtually everyone outside of executives and stockholders. So much so that companies had to resort to dirty tricks to give the illusion of acceptance and adoption
