Did Universal forget how to actually promote their movies? Because I didn't know Forgotten Island opened up this weekend. It didn't get a Super Mario/Minions-styled campaign. But once again, people want new, original ideas and don't show up, rewarding you with more of the same in the future.

Saw Forgotten Island today. I had a good time watching this. The friendship of the two main characters and the various spirit and creature designs. I hope this does well. I loved the core message of memory forming your character and experiences and stuff like that. ❤️

The vast majority of creatives are struggling. Writers are leaving LA in droves. Directors are driving Uber when they aren't lucky enough to get gigs directing dubs or subs for foreign films. Recognizable actors are finding jobs they won't be recognized in. The whole industry is shitty right now.

I haven't finished it yet, but I'm enjoying this one-shot crossover book: Muppets Take The Marvel Universe. But I'm having a pretty good time and I like seeing the Muppets hangout with the cast of Marvel. Just a little sad that there isn't more. Unless they have a few more of these planned. 🤷‍♂️

Saw that new Resident Evil movie. I enjoyed it. I've never played the games, I think most of my knowledge comes from the video game parody songs of the 2010s and a period a few years ago when i sought out some explainer videos for the story a few years after Village came out. /1

Today I went to AMC to one of those #ScreenUnseen movies where you see a random movie. And today it ended up being Shaun The Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom. This is the 2nd time I've gone to one of these and the surprise movie was about sheep. The first one being Sheep Detectives. 😆
