I really wish there was some sort of challenge mode or something because playing the game at low level is still where it shines the best, if you want Definite Enemy you're gonna have to rely on keeping one of the smart characters alive, can't pick up on most lies either so Comet is your friend.

It's such a dynamic web of relationships that is affected by people's role, who they decide to help, their stats, story ties... And then you add the RNG of people misplaying to have that Mahjong aspect of never knowing if you even had a chance in the first place.

This game continues to be way too good I played the detective part perfectly, but I was got checkmated by SQ's early alliance with Yuriko which could have been defused had I decided to help Kukrushka and her WEIRD insistence on defending a very obviously guilty Remnan.

I really did like the idea of that system but the execution felt strongly undermined by how easy it was to use smoke bombs/LPs to run away (at least in the remaster) and the ability to grind forever preventing any actual softlock.

I really like how it disproves the idea easier execution is somehow a thing holding new games back from being crazy, this has the biggest buffer of any game I've played and it's been like this since the early 2010s.

When I picked up Japanese a little over a year ago, I felt like I was doing it at the worst possible time as every cool work, new and old, was getting a translation project. But thanks to advancements in slop the value of that skill has went up considerably.

Clarice swipes at the opponents feet, hits low and downs. (sic) This is Clarice's signature move. The fastest normal in the game (1F!), has good reach and is generally used to force your way out of pressure as well as winning clash battles on the ground. Not the best move to use at the end of a ground string as the untechable time will plummet, making it impossible to do the most optimal air combo. It's still worthwhile to stagger during pressure but be sure to cancel it into a slash or E attack to make it safe on block. The recovery is almost incalculably long on whiff, but you can kara into EF activation to make it far safer.

Is there actually no game that copied the Rayforce two layers + lock-on system? Not even the sequels??? I see plenty of games with lock-on but not the layers part which is the whole reason you want to move up when it comes to survival. Kamui does but they made the lock-on be fullscreen...

Been so hot my AC keeps overheating, just waiting out summer at this point. Rayforce is probably not the easiest pick for a first arcade clear but I'm committed to the bit now, savestates + background recoding makes practice very relaxing.

Proko's anatomy course, even in its free form, is the most comprehensive source of anatomy for artists. For books, I'd recommend Anatomy for Sculptors. It's useful to have something on the side that's more about the simplified forms than the details too, like the Morpho series or online tutorials.
